The department of Cardiology at Dar Al Shifa Hospital (DASH) is one of the finest in Kuwait. An integrated facility operated by a highly qualified Cardiologists supported by experienced and dedicated nursing and paramedical staff and cutting-edge technology. Our Cardiologists are specialized in all steam of cardiology including emergency cardiac care, non – invasive and interventional cardiology. Our cardiology team has developed a culture of excellence in patient care with a high level of clinical competence, innovative techniques, and outstanding team efforts.

Scope of Services:

Outpatient Services: A team of cardiac consultants and specialists offer health checkup to detect and prevent heart diseases at an early stage and manage heart problems through medications and lifestyle changes. The services are provided at an operational cardiac lab for a range of diagnostic tests such as Electrocardiography, Exercise stress test, 24 hour Blood Pressure and Holter monitoring and Transthoracic Echocardiogram.
Cardiac Imaging: Radiologists and cardiologists work jointly to offer precise diagnostic cardiac imaging. DASH was the first private hospital in Kuwait to have dual flash CT scan for precise CT angiography. It also has two MRI units for Cardiac MRI with or without pharmacological effort.
Coronary Care Unit: The unit is run by competent staff available round the clock to treat cardiac emergencies such as myocardial infarction, severe hypertension, dysrhythmias or cardiopulmonary arrest. The unit is also equipped to conduct various diagnostic tests such as Dobutamine stress test, Trans-esophageal Echocardiography and Dobutamine Stress Echocardiogram.
Interventional Cardiology: Our interventional cardiologists are expert in treating complex coronary artery diseases. Cardiac catheterization Lab is equipped with the latest technology and caters both diagnostic and interventional procedures 24/7.
Diagnostic procedures include coronary angiogram, peripheral angiogram, right and left heart catheterization and LV Study.
Interventional Procedures include Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), Peripheral Stent, Pericardiocentesis, Pacemakers, Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) and Renal Artery Denervation.
