To ensure your own and other's safety, refrain from smoking, or using flame/charcoal within the hospital's premises.
The hospital has smoke detectors, sprinklers, fire extinguishers, and water hoses on each floor.
In case of fire, follow the instructions and the evacuation plan.
Isolation/Precaution Rooms:
Kindly follow the instructions posted at the patient room door. Abiding by these standard precautions is vital to ensure your own and other's safety.
Prevention from the Flu:
It is advisable that a person with Flu does not visit a patient in the hospital.
Dar Al Shifa is a smoke-free hospital.
Should you like to smoke, you may do so in the designated smoking rooms allocated area outside the main entrance or the Atrium entrance.
The hospital is not responsible for cash, valuables and personal items you take to your room with you. All jewelry and valuables should be sent home or placed in the safety lockers. Kindly ask your nurse for details. Any items left behind in rooms not claimed within one month (30 days) after discharge, will be disposed of according to hospital policy.

Cellular phones are prohibited in critical care areas (Coronary Care Unit, Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and endoscopy unit) and in areas where patients are on life support equipment.
