Endocrinology Division

The Endocrinology division at Dar Al Shifa Hospital offers complete care to patients with endocrinology and metabolic disorders. The services are provided on both inpatient and outpatient basis. A multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, patient educators, dietitians and clinical pharmacists work together to provide individualized treatment based on the patient’s condition and needs. The division conducts health awareness campaigns on regular basis to educate the community about diabetes and its management.

• Comprehensive management of diabetes and its complications.
• Management of obesity in collaboration with nutritionists and physiotherapists and referral of indicated cases for bariatric surgeries.
• Management of thyroid disorders
• Management of pituitary and adrenal problems
• Metabolic disorders
• Puberty and growth disorders
• Lipid disorders
• Osteoporosis 
• Calcium disorders (hypocalcemia and hypercalcemia) 
• Fine needle aspiration of thyroid nodules (FNAC thyroid nodule)
